This series consists of collection books, which are daily records of the debts collected by the Branch Bank at Mobile from its debtors. Included are the date, the transaction number (could be either the account number or the note number), the name of the payer, the name of the depositor (includes names of individuals, firms, and out-of-state banks), the amount of the note, and the amount paid. Also included may be the date of maturity and the title of the account (usually titled "Bills Receivable"), and information on notes that were protested.
